What does a day in the life of an associate project manager look like?
My day-to-day is different every day. I feel like everyone says that, but it's true. Most of my days are filled with meetings.
These meetings can be early, depending on the client's time zone. If my client is in Eastern Time, I might have early morning calls. If they are in Pacific or Central, it might be closer to my time zone. You have to be flexible with these time differences.
Working earlier means you can finish earlier. But for the most part, it's a marathon of meetings every day. We also have internal reporting to do, and we send out weekly status updates to the client.
Sometimes we have internal meetings, and sometimes we have client meetings. It's really hard to map out a typical day because they are so varied. Generally, there are meetings, some internal, some external with clients.
Some days involve preparation time. I'll set up calls, work on our budget internally, or prepare status reports to send to the client. It's a lot of work of that nature.
