What do you enjoy most about being in your current role?

I love the ability to work for myself and have that freedom and autonomy while working with really cool, interesting, smart entrepreneurs. So, I still have that level of collaboration and teamwork, but I'm not working for a company, per se. That gives me a sense of independence that I was really craving.

I also really love the diversity of my clientele and my projects. Every project is different, every scope of work is different, and I get to learn about different industries. I think my clients benefit from the fact that I don't live and breathe one industry only.

So, I come in with the perspective of a brand strategist, not a real estate marketer. I'm able to think beyond just that industry, and I'm also able to learn and have exposure to different industries, which is really fun for me as a lifelong learner.

I love being creative. The storytelling and writing is probably my favorite tangible piece of the job. I love writing the mission statement, the positioning, and the brand values of a company.

I also love that there's a tangible payoff. A lot of the businesses that come to me, we launch, and the work we do together sets the stage for all of their communication, including their website. When that website is live, and the product or services are live, that's a very gratifying feeling. It's especially gratifying to know that my work led to that, particularly when my writing is on the website or social content. Seeing it come to life is a cool feeling.
