What do you enjoy most about being in your industry?
Being in investment banking, it's very cool to be in the center of many of the transactions you see on the news. This includes what the biggest companies are doing, whether it's acquisitions or two public companies merging.
Knowing the reasons why, and being able to analyze their financial data, the rationale, and whether it's a good deal or a bad deal, is really cool. I think having that kind of mindset is really valuable.
I was in San Francisco, so it was technology focused. These past year and a half have been really tough for tech companies. A lot of what you see, whether good or bad, was happening right down the street.
It's very cool to be at the center of these things, not because it's bad, but because you're at the forefront of the events unfolding in the economy.
