How would you describe people who typically thrive in this industry?

The first thing for people who thrive in this industry is wanting to give everything you have, your energy and time, to improve our world and society. Education is something every student goes through. Being able to give to students who need support, guidance, and resources is a really big thing.

I see consultants, counselors, principals, and even incredible teachers who have thrived because of their hearts. They are in it because they want to make a difference in these kids' lives. I think that's a really big part.

We also have to consistently want to grow and be better, whether as a counselor, president, or teacher. This means finding new opportunities and resources for your students, developing new skill sets, and maybe getting additional degrees.

Some of our consultants are doing this because times are changing. Supporting students more psychologically and emotionally is helpful. So, we're seeing counselors interested in getting psychology degrees, becoming therapists, or getting certifications to help their students in different ways.

We have to consistently want to develop ourselves with a knowledge base and resources. This allows us to provide for our students in these changing times and the changing culture of our society.
