What have you learned about this role that you wish someone had told you before you entered the industry?
You're working all the time because your brain is working all the time. You're constantly problem-solving, and you never forget your students. You're planning when you're home and thinking about how you can support them.
Being an educator is more than just being a teacher or a leader. You are a therapist, a support person, and an ear for families. You're finding resources for them.
So, if you see yourself doing all of those things, this is really the field for you. If you're interested in psychology and nursing, like we wear so many different hats here. When I think about it, if someone had told me that before, I would have been like, "Whoa, that's a lot of things." But it's so fun and so worth it.
