Significant Career Lesson From a Senior Project Manager at Delve Inc
Entry-level project management opportunities for undergraduates include paid internships, where a project manager "pair[s] interns...to shadow a project," and project coordinator roles; these often serve as stepping stones to senior project management positions and beyond. Many companies with project management functions offer such positions.

What entry-level positions are there in this field that an undergraduate college student might consider?
At my previous company, we had interns. We would offer three-month-long summer internships for our project management organization.
Interns would be paired with a project manager. They would shadow a project and then support it to gain experience.
Many companies offer paid internship positions. There is also often a project coordinator role, which is typically an entry-level position within a project management organization.
The typical progression is project coordinator, project manager, senior project manager, and program manager. I believe most companies with project management capabilities will have opportunities for internships or coordinator roles.
