What does a day in the life of a senior project manager look like?

There are similarities and differences. The things that are typically the same include checking email and communications from my teams. Currently, that's via Microsoft Teams.

I work with people internally from many different time zones, so folks start their days at different times. Our internal communication is usually managed via Teams. My external communication is usually via email with clients.

I typically have at least one, if not two, regular meetings with my clients within a week. For example, I'll have an engineering-focused meeting and a design-focused meeting. Often, the same people aren't required in those meetings.

As a project manager, I'm also updating our ERP, which is the platform that manages the budget and schedule of our projects. I need to make sure that's up to date.

The differences every day are that every project and every client I work with is different. They communicate differently, manage things differently, and their company cultures are different. There's a lot of variety and nuances with the different projects you'll work on.

Even if you might be working on the same type of product, it's going to feel a little different because the companies are different. But more than anything, it's checking in on communications and communicating back out to team members and clients.
