What skills are most important for a job like yours?

As a UX designer, you definitely need to be adaptable and flexible. Today, for example, I thought I would be spending my day designing one feature, but our team decided to pivot. We're now going to work on a different feature.

This constant ability to not be tied to any one thing is important. Adaptability and flexibility, as well as creativity, are obviously key for a designer. You're more on the creative side.

I think being a good communicator and collaborator is also crucial. There are so many different stakeholders you chat with throughout the week, whether that's folks in the c-suite, customers, or engineers. You have to quickly be able to context switch into who you're chatting with and what the goal is.

Having those skill sets really can build out a highly effective designer.
