What does a day in the life of a senior UX designer look like?
A day in the life varies significantly. When developing software, there are many challenges. As a UX designer, there might be weeks where I'm in a discovery phase.
During this phase, I chat with customers to figure out the next feature to build to support them. There might also be weeks and days where I'm involved in the actual development.
This involves chatting with engineers on Zoom and in person, going over designs, and thinking about use cases. It really does look different day to day.
I'd say about 60% of my time is spent in the design tool. The rest of it is spent chatting with customers or engineers, which is highly collaborative.
