College Experiences That Helped a Founder at The Sun Cycle Succeed
Jared's atypical undergraduate major in sales and finance, combined with an SEO internship, proved unexpectedly valuable in launching The Sun Cycle. The experience in these three areas—"sales experience, finance experience, and that sort of like SEO marketing experience"—provided a strong foundation for wearing "all these different hats" required to successfully establish and grow the company.

What did you do in undergrad to set you up for success in your career?
It's interesting because I took an atypical route. Majoring in sales and finance, two areas very important to any small business, really set me up for success. Having that SEO background with my internship also contributed.
As I mentioned, I wear many different hats. Being able to lean on my sales, finance, and SEO marketing experience has really benefited me over the last year. It's helped me get my company off the ground, bring in new clients and riders, and ensure we're meeting all our forecasts.
At the time, I had no idea I'd be going down this route. But looking back, all these different steps have benefited me over the past year in the launch of Sun Cycle.
