What did you do in undergrad to set you up for success in your career?

That's a great question. As an undergraduate, I bounced around various industries and interests. I attended a unique liberal arts and humanities school.

What I did in undergrad was develop a healthy sense of how to learn and think critically. This enabled me to be as generalist as I have been in my specialty.

It has allowed me to jump between various units and ships. This includes small ships with major aviation and weapon systems. I also dealt with special forces, deployed to Iraq.

There, I was in a specialized weapons program management role. Being able to cross domains was essential due to my ability to think and learn quickly.
