What does a day in the life of your role look like?
I do a lot of marketing initiatives, and that varies day-to-day. For example, I'll go over the marketing stats in the morning to identify problems to solve.
For instance, the cost per click on our Instagram is about 19 cents right now, which is really good. It hasn't always been this way; back in the day, it was 50 cents.
I created different versions of Instagram ads and tried putting them in front of different people to compare and optimize. Dropping the cost was a result of that.
Conversion hasn't always been fantastic either. We've been paying users to visit our website, but not all of them download our game. So, maybe we can increase referrals from existing users or find users with similar profiles and interests.
It's about identifying problems and finding ways to solve them. I also make TikToks and tweak the website to make it convert a bit more and be more enjoyable for people to look at. I also write blog posts.
It really depends on the problems we identify. This is the kind of job for people who love problem-solving and don't like doing the same thing every day.
You're also responsible for things because the team is small. If you slack off, things don't get done. So there's a lot of responsibility involved too.
