What is one lesson that you have learned that has proven significant in your career?
The biggest lesson for me is not to set limits for yourself. Many of us tend to do that.
When I was growing up, my parents told me I would never be a business person because it wasn't in my nature. That held me back for a good part of my early career.
Those limits are usually self-imposed. You might tell yourself there's no way you can be hired at a tech company because you have a liberal arts degree.
I had a sociology degree and got myself into some of the best tech companies around. If you have a limit, try to set it aside.
The most important thing is to go after what you desire. Understand what it takes to be successful there, improve, and learn as much as you can. Try to aim for that.
