What is one lesson that you have learned that has proven significant in your career?
One lesson proven significant is to get to know people at a human level, not superficially. We can have small talk, discuss the weather or politics; that's fine.
But it's really connecting people at a human level that helps them become vulnerable. Then they are able to talk about what's really happening and why it's happening.
There's a saying: "Better humans make better leaders, better leaders make better humans." That's critical.
So, I think it's making those connections at a human level where you can actually have a conversation and determine what's going on in that person's life.
