This is an interesting field because there's no specific degree in coaching. If this is something you want to do, challenge yourself. Take on tough leadership positions. Read or listen to audiobooks from as many leaders as possible.
Find leaders you admire, connect with them, and talk to them. Ask them tough questions. I think the most important thing is to actually take on a leadership position and don't be shy about it.
You might think, "I can't do this. How will I solve it?" But once you're in that position, you'll figure it out. There are so many resources available now to develop your coaching skills.
