College Experiences That Helped A Land Acquisition Project Manager At D.R. Horton Succeed

Hayden's undergraduate success stemmed from actively building relationships—"making relationships with friends, classmates, teachers"—and collaborative learning through teamwork and study groups, skills directly applicable to their current role as a Land Acquisition Project Manager. What did you do in undergrad to set you up for success in your career?

Don't be afraid to make relationships with friends, classmates, teachers, and guest speakers. All these people are there for one common goal: to help you achieve a degree, or to achieve a degree themselves.

Teamwork really helps solidify class concepts. Answer questions and create a small study group. You never know when you're going to cross paths.

I've got friends in agricultural businesses, like myself, and I'm calling on them for land deals. It's such a small world. Always end relationships on a high note.
