What does a day in the life of a software engineer look like?

Every day we start with our team standup, where we go over what we accomplished the day prior, what we hope to accomplish that day, and any opportunities for someone to help remove a blocker for us. Or if we maybe have extra time in our own personal day, we offer to help our team.

Usually then, we break off into our workstations and work on our projects or whatever we're doing. Throughout the day, it's pretty much like that.

We also work inside a sprint cycle. So every two weeks, we pretty much have a new project or ticket that we're working on. Other meetings might be planning meetings or meetings with our managers.

It's a nice balance of working with team members, solo work, and a lot of planning.
