What skills are most important for a job like yours?
For a job like mine, I think there are so many skills involved. Definitely people skills, because I'm working to get my name out there, so I have to learn how to connect with a lot of different people. Networking is massive for my space.
A big skill is also consistency. There are a lot of days as an entrepreneur that are up, and a lot of days that are down. But I think one of the best skills for any entrepreneur or business owner is just consistency.
This goes back to your habits. You have to show up no matter how things are going in your personal life, especially if you're the face of the brand. So that's probably one of the biggest things.
Another huge piece, especially in the online space, is that things change every day. You might hear that the algorithms are changing, or the platforms are changing, and then AI is introduced. You have to be super adaptable and adapt to what people are looking for and what the platforms are prioritizing, or you're going to get left behind.
Most businesses out there have adapted in some way from another business, or they're all saying the same information. It's about what is going to make someone work with you versus someone else who is presenting a similar or the same business. So I think being adaptable, being engaging, being consistent, and just showing up every day are the skills you would need as an entrepreneur.
