Transcript
What entry-level positions are there in this field that an undergraduate college student might consider, specifically for accessibility?
I would recommend starting in some sort of entry-level role for a learning designer. Once you understand learning design methodologies and practices, it becomes easier to see where blockers can be created.
Any sort of instructional designer or even a facilitation role would be fantastic to start off with. This gives you the lens of talking to people who are trying to learn, identifying what's challenging, and seeing where they might get tripped up.
Then you build the ability to identify a blocker and hopefully address it. This way, it's no longer a blocker for anyone, and everyone can learn successfully. You won't have people needing special accommodations or requiring office hours. Instead, you just teach everything as soon as the training is occurring, and everyone can walk away with a nugget of knowledge.
