What have you learned about this role that you wish someone would have told you before you entered the industry?
It would have been really helpful to know where to look to understand the industry and market trends. Because it's so ambiguous, it can be hard to tell where to go.
For someone who is new or looking to enter this industry, I would recommend a podcast called "The Town." It has 30-minute episodes, and they release two to three episodes a week.
That podcast provides really good insights. Obviously, it's all opinion, but I think it gives an indication of where the market is going.
Also, a high-level search on websites like Statista or Pew is useful. I think those are good tools to help understand how the market is performing. Being able to leverage those tools would have been helpful when going into this.
