What skills are most important for a job like yours?

I would say being open-minded and also coming from a place of understanding the other person. It can be tough interfacing with a lot of different partners because some of them can have really strong personalities.

Always coming from a place of understanding where they're coming from can really help you get their stakeholder input. A lot of times we have one thing we're trying to accomplish, but really trying to see where the other person is coming from has made a world of difference.

From a technical standpoint, I would say having at least the basis in analytics. Understanding certain statistics will help, especially in this environment. There have been a lot more business analyst roles opening up that all require some level of SQL, Excel modeling, or Tableau skills. Upskilling yourself on Coursera or something similar could be a really great opportunity to pursue a job in this field.
