What are your main responsibilities within your current role?

As program coordinator in Eco SLO, I handle a lot of the administrative side of what we do. Our organization has three full-time staffers.

Our executive director handles work with the board and a lot of fundraising and high-level tasks. Our volunteer coordinator works directly with volunteers daily, whether that's on event planning or with long-term volunteers for initiatives like our urban trees program.

I handle a lot of the in-between tasks. This includes administrative work for tree plantings, such as species and site selection with the city of SLO, acquiring trees from nurseries, and ensuring all event planning is completed. For cleanups, like our upcoming annual "Creeks to Coast Cleanup," I manage permitting and ensure all approvals are in place for our sites.

I also work with our executive director on grant funding opportunities. When opportunities arise, I collaborate with her on applications to ensure everything aligns with our planning, confirming that funding is fully secured for all aspects of programs like our tree planting initiative.

Additionally, I manage our interns and college corps members. Anything involving them typically falls under my responsibilities. We have college corps students joining us this fall, which we're excited about, and I'm managing all aspects of that.

Overall, I handle a lot of management and higher-level administrative tasks.
