What have you learned about this role that you wish someone would have told you before you entered the industry?

Particularly for my role as a budget supervisor, I wish I had known earlier how to be more extroverted and talkative. I am very introverted and tend to keep to myself.

I wish I had helped myself by engaging more within the workplace and being more present. Once you are present and have an open door, people are more safe and willing to speak to you, work with you, and build a team with synergy and effectiveness.

That is very important. Also, just knowing how to be adaptable in continuous learning is crucial for a successful career, especially in my role. It allows me to navigate the varied responsibilities that come with my position. Those are a couple of things that come to mind.
