Transcript

Could you walk me through your career path, starting with your experiences in college and any internships or jobs you had before your current role?

Sure. I majored in environmental engineering at the University of New Hampshire. I was always the type of person who would take things apart but never put them back together. I thought engineering would help with that.

About halfway through college, I got a job with Red Bull as their student brand manager for UNH. I was responsible for all product sampling and events on campus. This completely changed my life and propelled me into marketing, which has been the focus of my career.

I worked for Red Bull full-time for about eight and a half years, managing sampling and collegiate marketing in various markets like Upstate New York, Pittsburgh, and Boston. I was then fortunate enough to lead their US student brand manager program, which brought me to Santa Monica. I was responsible for 200 to 300 students at 270 schools.

My role involved overseeing best practices and execution for national and global events, which was very exciting. However, I felt I knew Red Bull so well that I wanted to challenge myself further. I left and worked for about a year and a half at an agency called R/GA, which focused on Gen Z and events. My clients included Adidas, Spotify, and Hollister.

After that, I went to Tinder, where I spent about three years, also in marketing. I was a senior brand manager focused on all marketing activities in North America. Since then, I've been at Snapchat for about eight months, working on social impact and trust and safety for the brand globally.
