What skills are most important for a job like yours?
Definitely having strong communication skills is essential. This includes oral, written, and interpersonal communications.
Fundraising is fundamentally a function of creativity. It's an art, not a science.
Therefore, having an inherent "outside the box" line of thinking is the number one skillset or quality a good fundraiser possesses. Of course, creativity is needed for graphic and web design, along with a strong attention to detail.
But above all else, passion is crucial. While not a skill, it's something that can't be learned or taught. Creativity and passion are inherent qualifications for this line of work.
