What have you learned about this role that you wish someone would have told you before you entered the industry?
I would say the importance of setting boundaries. This is a job, whether it's marketing or being a business owner; it's really easy to burn out quickly.
It's a lot of hats you have to wear all the time. Sometimes you're a copywriter, sometimes a graphic designer, and sometimes you're just doing the accounting for your business.
All of that can make you feel like there aren't enough hours in the day. Setting boundaries for yourself to balance life and work is very important.
The other thing I would say is the power of networking to grow your business or create opportunities. That's also really important.
