What skills are most important for a job like yours?
I think one of the most important skills would be creativity. This is because I do a lot of marketing strategies. When it comes to being a marketing agency, the goal is to make your client's brand stand out.
That is difficult when there are many people in the industry and many similar products. So, it's definitely being creative, thinking outside the box for content campaigns, and creating eye-catching work that resonates with their audience.
Other than that, I would say just having organization and time management skills. I think that's one of the hardest parts because when you run or work at a marketing agency, not every day looks the same. There's nothing routine about this job.
So, you're kind of part of every role at some point. You're sometimes the strategist, the creator, or the graphic designer. Balancing multiple things at the same time, and multiple clients and projects, is very critical.
Having that time management, with a schedule that's very clear and laid out, is very important. Then, the last thing I would say is communication. It's super important in marketing to be able to communicate with your team, with your clients, and with influencers that you're managing.
That's because it's impossible to do every project by yourself; it's definitely a teamwork situation. So, making sure that your communication fosters that collaborative environment where everyone can put in their input and be creative at the same time is important.
