Q10: Entry-level positions
What entry-level positions are there in this field that an undergraduate college student might consider?
In terms of marketing specifically, there are many positions you can start from. When I did my internship, I was an events coordinator and a marketing assistant. That was the first thing I did.
You can also be a social media assistant or start as a content creator. You can even start by managing your own social media to use as a portfolio. I would really encourage you to create a portfolio showing all your drawings, flyers, graphics, or even a picture from a trip.
Everything we do on a daily basis can be put into a portfolio in a creative way. Doing that opens you up for roles in this industry.
If you're not as creative for graphic design or similar tasks, there's also influencer marketing. That is really growing in this industry. You can start as an influencer or an influencer relationship assistant.
There's the creative side and the business side of marketing, and both have plenty of entry-level opportunities.
