What does a day in the life of your role look like?
One of the best parts of this job is that there's really no typical day. I think that's what makes it fun.
The day is very dependent on what point we are in the process. In the early phases, we might be in the office a lot, using Excel and looking at AutoCAD drawings. We focus on the technical and budget side.
Some days, we get the fun parts of going to scene shops to watch things get built, or going to theaters to survey. Eventually, you get to the most fun part: being at the venue, theater, or event space.
There, you spend time working with all the creative teams, designers, and crew to implement the project. So, really, there's no typical day.
