How would you describe people who typically thrive in this industry?
Okay, I want to separate the job of marketing from the industry because this particular industry has a lot of tentacles. I can speak directly to how you would thrive in the marketing aspect of it.
I think I mentioned before, you have to be meticulous. You have to be creative, and you have to be a good listener. You also just have to not be afraid to express yourself.
So you'll be in meetings, and maybe you have an idea. You have to just put it out there. Don't worry about if it's silly, or if somebody might think it's silly. Somebody might laugh at you, but just put it out there because you just never know.
So, meticulous, creative, and outspoken. Those are the three characteristics I would say will help you thrive in marketing, anywhere in marketing.
