Could you walk me through your career path, starting with your experiences in college? Did you have any internships or jobs before your current role?

Yes, I did my undergrad at UC Santa Barbara. While in college, one of the main experiences I had related to this role was being a mentor and a tutor at the local high school.

I was a mentoring tutor there for about three years, from my sophomore year all the way to my graduating year. I had the chance to work with students in a math class and an AVID class, supporting the teacher and particularly supporting students at the high school level.

Other than that, I also worked for Teach for America my senior year for a little bit as a recruiter. I was giving presentations and recruiting college students to apply to Teach for America.

I would say those were my main experiences leading to the role that I have today.
