What do you enjoy most about being in your industry?

In education, there are many different models that can suit various communities and student needs. What I enjoy most about this industry is that, for the most part, it's filled with people who want to make a difference and have a positive impact on students and families.

There's a niche for everyone, whether you're interested in high-performing or low-performing students. Different diversity of educational models exist.

For me, working specifically in charter schools has allowed me to work with a population that is similar to the regular public school population. However, in a charter school, either the school or the family has made the effort to choose it, meaning they have to sign up.

This alone means you have a self-selected group of students and people who place some value on education. I feel that charter schools have been a great part of the education industry for me. I've really appreciated the different types of models I've seen and how they can work for different communities or individual student needs.
