How would you describe people who typically thrive in the tech industry?
Sure, so I'll start specifically as it relates to sales and then get into tech after. In terms of sales, competitiveness is a big factor. Wanting to win these deals so that you can hit your quota and perform well is important.
Being a problem solver is also important. As I mentioned earlier, it's much more likely that you'll win deals if you're helping clients solve their problems rather than just pitching your solutions. Lastly, persistence is also key for sales.
When it comes to tech, though, I think somebody who enjoys constantly learning will be successful and thrive in this industry. The industry's solutions and deployment models are constantly changing.
You have to have that thirst for knowledge and make sure you're staying on top of industry trends so that you can provide relevant information to your clients. So, a few things there around sales, and then staying on top of the tech industry and the thirst for knowledge would be specific to tech.
