Transcript
What are your main responsibilities within your current role?
My main responsibilities include ensuring that each of the 50 nursing centers is adequately staffed. This is my top priority. I spend a significant amount of time on staffing calls, holding HR personnel at each facility accountable for following up with applications.
I also ensure they have a clear onboarding program. Additionally, I focus on recruiting for regional positions, such as nurse consultants, directors of nursing, and CEOs for our nursing centers.
I also manage 150 social media pages, one for each of our 50 nursing centers. Since each center has its own LLC, I manage their Facebook, LinkedIn, Google Pages, and Indeed pages. My goal is to ensure the best possible online visibility, which involves search engine optimization so our facilities appear first when searched.
I also focus on maintaining excellent online reviews. If a facility is receiving poor reviews, I partner with the administrator and leadership to understand and address the concerns. For incorrect or bot-generated reviews, I report them to Google to ensure our online reputation remains positive.
Online reviews are crucial for potential residents looking for long-term care, as well as for potential staff. They are often the first thing people look at, so maintaining good reviews is essential.
Furthermore, I sponsor nurses from foreign countries, currently working with nurses from the Philippines and Mexico. I'm also beginning to explore similar programs with nurses from Africa. This process is lengthy, typically taking two to three years depending on immigration regulations.
I also run our company's rapid response team. This is an internal agency with a pool of nurses who can quickly deploy to support facilities experiencing staffing shortages.
Finally, I lead a team of recruiters. I provide them with directives and ensure they accomplish their goals. This involves attending staffing calls, following up on applications, and identifying any gaps in the hiring process to ensure we have good follow-through and customer service.
