Could you walk me through your career path, starting with your experiences in college? Did you have any internships or jobs before your current role?
I went to school at UC Santa Barbara and graduated in 2020. While I was there, I majored in communication, so my focus was typically on marketing and sales.
During the summers of my sophomore and junior years, I participated in a sales development internship program. This was back home in the Bay Area, where I worked at a couple of tech startups in a sales development role. My responsibilities included cold calling and assisting the sales team.
After graduating in 2020, COVID hit, so I was back home and everything was remote. I took on another internship with a company called UiPath, a software company, where I did sales for a bit.
Following that, I accepted a full-time role at Mavenlink, another software company. I was a business development rep there for about a year and a half before being promoted to an account executive, where I closed my own deals.
I left Mavenlink about a year and a half ago and joined Headway. Headway is a technology company that focuses on mental health providers, making it easier for them to accept insurance. I've been there for about a year and a half, working with therapists to get them on our platform, set up with insurance, and help them scale their practices.
