What are your main responsibilities within your current role?
As a principal owner of Adaptive Strategies Consulting, my role is multifaceted, and every day brings something new. Broadly speaking, I help organizations develop and implement strategies that promote equity, sustainability, and community impact.
One of my primary responsibilities is working closely with clients to understand their goals, challenges, and the broader context in which they operate. From there, I help them create strategic plans that are not only actionable but also rooted in equity and long-term impact.
This involves policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, program development, and capacity-building support. I also spend a lot of time collaborating, whether it's with community organizations, government agencies, or private sector partners.
Building and maintaining strong partnerships is critical for creating lasting change, and a big part of my role is bringing people together around shared goals. In addition, I provide advocacy support, helping clients navigate the policy landscape and elevate their voices on important issues.
This could mean drafting policy recommendations, preparing for legislative visits, or developing communication strategies. Ultimately, my job is about helping organizations turn their vision into action and ensuring that equity and sustainability remain at the forefront of their work.
