What does a day in the life of a principal at Honor Adaptive Strategies Consulting look like?
One of the things I love about consulting is that no two days are exactly the same. The nature of my work means I'm often balancing multiple projects, each with different needs and timelines. My day requires a lot of adaptability and strategic thinking.
A typical day might start with client meetings, where we discuss project updates, address any challenges, and map out next steps. I spend a lot of time listening, understanding clients' needs, gathering feedback, and making sure we're aligned on the vision and goals.
From there, I might dive into research or policy analysis, staying up to date on legislative developments, best practices, and emerging trends in equity and sustainability. I also spend a lot of time drafting reports, developing strategic plans, or preparing presentations for stakeholders.
Collaboration is a big part of my day, whether it's meeting with community partners, coordinating with government agencies, or facilitating workshops. A lot of my work involves bringing different voices to the table and ensuring everybody feels heard and valued.
Evenings are often spent attending networking events, community meetings, or board engagement, which helps me stay connected and informed. Consulting requires a lot of time management, but the variety keeps it exciting and fulfilling.
