What do you enjoy most about being in your current role?
I just love my work, to be honest. I feel so thankful that I stumbled into this. Organizational psychology is a field that people often stumble into, but even particularly the role that I have at the college where I'm working.
It was a series of happy accidents, and my work doesn't feel like work. I genuinely get so excited to have meetings with students, meet with my faculty, or work on designing my courses because it's all stuff that I enjoy. I don't think there is one thing I enjoy more than others.
I will say that I do love working with students in any capacity. Whether it's advising on their research, being in person with them, teaching, facilitating them through experiential activities, having discussions with them, or even guiding them and providing support and advice on any problems or issues they're having.
I find so much fulfillment from that because it's human connection that really feeds my soul. So, I think any part of the human interaction, whether it's with my colleagues or with my students, I get a lot of fulfillment. I see how my support and my advice help them grow and become better, or develop, or change their perspective.
Even just them feeling like they have somebody rooting for them is so special. So, I think that would be the thing that I enjoy most.
