What is your biggest challenge in your current role?
The biggest challenge is that there's a lot we have to do and are working on. My role as an assistant professor involves many other things besides teaching or working with students.
There are numerous areas I'm involved in, and while they are important, it all adds up quickly. The sheer volume of work is a challenge.
However, most of this work is enjoyable, so it's fine. At times, it can become overwhelming when tasks pile up. Fortunately, the flexibility in my work schedule helps things run smoother.
So yes, there are challenges, and we often have many things on our plates at any given moment.
