What is one lesson that you have learned that has proven significant in your career?

I think this is another easy one. It was something my current manager told me about a year and a half ago when I was new in my role.

The advice was that you have to set yourself up for success if you want to be good at this job. Because we deal with so many different types of tasks and a broad array of things that we own, we always have to plan.

We have to project plan internally for ourselves just as well as we project plan for everybody else. This means laying out clear timelines and tasks for yourself, and making use of productivity tools.

These tools can help with documentation and note-taking so that you are not only absorbing information but also retaining it throughout the day.

The second layer on top of setting yourself up for success is to have the right mindset. Approach everything with a sense of curiosity and look at things as opportunities rather than risks.

Then you'll find yourself working on some very cool things that you might not have expected.
