What did you do in undergrad to set you up for success in your career?

During undergrad, it's super important to have many different interests. I majored in biology and history, and those two subjects allowed me to get a credential in history. History is one of the hardest teaching jobs to get.

I was able to use biology to become hired, and I've also added a chemistry credential to my biology credential. That's really great for job security. So during undergrad, pay attention to all your classes.

As a bio major, I had to take a whole year of chemistry classes. I hated it, but I'm so grateful for it now. I know my stuff and I'm able to teach my students. I think that is really important. Always keep learning and have a lot of interests and hobbies.
