How would you describe people who typically thrive in this industry?
People who thrive in this industry truly love their job but know the limitations that come with it. They have to be hardworking, but they also have to leave the work at work. You have to enjoy your weekends.
It's going to be hard the first two or three years because you're starting from scratch. Being able to balance working so much and then also taking care of yourself is really crucial to thrive in it.
There is teacher burnout. Fifty percent of teachers leave the profession. So please take care of yourself. Once you do that, you're going to be the best teacher for your students.
