What was your biggest challenge in this role?
My biggest challenge was probably dealing with the state's bureaucracy. I dealt with it for a long time, and it became something I was okay with. However, for many people, it can be a challenge.
They might find it more challenging than I did. Anything with the state can move slowly. This includes things like hiring people or getting a promotion.
It can also be challenging when the state experiences a budget crisis, which happens periodically. Some people work for agencies that freeze all travel or training budgets. This can make it hard to get the training that might help someone develop professionally.
