How would you describe people who typically thrive in this industry?
I'll talk about it more from a B2B and marketing standpoint than security. In security, you need REIT dick tech and researchers, which isn't really my world.
However, I would answer that question by thinking about important skills. You need a curious mind and critical thinking skills. You constantly need to ask if there's a better way to do things and avoid complacency.
People who thrive in this fast-paced, always-changing industry need to be resilient. You have to dig in and truly want it. You can't just show up; you have to really show up.
I think people with these skills are the ones who truly love it because they get a lot out of it.
