What have you learned about this role that you wish someone had told you before you entered the industry?
Here's the cleaned transcript:
Things I wish I knew before I started this job as a research pharmacist are that connecting with patients emotionally was a little difficult for me. I was very focused on the math and science aspect of it. Logic was one of the most important things to heal a human being.
But having a seat with them and just having a conversation about what they value in their life, not just treatments, but what kind of life they live, shows that I actually care. This can be shown through having a seat and having a conversation with them about what they want and just making sure that they get the right drug and giving my best in their treatment.
