What is your biggest challenge in your current role?
I'm a people manager and a leader of a fairly large program. One of my biggest challenges is always the people management aspect.
I work with my team to ensure they are on track with their career development plans. I also help them handle different situations that come up in their lives and adjust work accordingly to balance their needs. Any people manager will say it takes a lot to manage people effectively, improving both their lives and yours.
My second challenge is figuring out how to solve new problems. I enjoy this aspect of my role because I like creating, developing, and learning. This role always presents something new.
I've had to figure out how to launch this team and build out this program to support a marketing channel. Now, I'm developing different tools or products to increase our efficiencies and improve operations. I'm also figuring out how to scale this program into other countries.
There's always a new problem to solve, which is challenging but also fulfilling.
