Could you walk me through your career path? Please start with your experiences in college and then any internships or jobs you had before your current role.
Before my current role, none of my experiences really aligned with what I do now. I went to UCLA and studied economics, intending to pursue finance.
I completed a wealth management program with Wells Fargo and had a couple of asset management internships. I decided to go straight into that career after college.
I worked for Wells Fargo for about two years until I realized the finance industry wasn't really for me. That's when I decided to switch careers to something more technical.
This led me to my current role, which was a bit of luck. When you're job hunting, you apply everywhere and tweak your resume for each posting.
I stumbled upon this job at Disney, which was much more technical. It involved learning a whole new world of skills and terminology, presenting a huge learning curve.
Ultimately, I guess they decided I was the right person for the job. That's how I ended up where I am now, with a mix of luck and learning on the fly.
