Could you walk me through your career path, starting with your experiences in college? Please include any internships or jobs you've had that led you to your current role.
Yes, absolutely. I went to George Washington University in DC, where I studied sports management and minored in psychology. Sports management consisted a lot of studying the ins and outs of sports, more so on the event side of things, like managing game day operations.
Throughout college, I had a couple of different internships. My first one was in the financial sector, mostly doing data input and management for a fairly large mutual fund company. That was more to weed out things that I didn't have an interest in, which I figured out pretty quickly.
From there, I went to work for an MLB team in Pittsburgh, the Pirates specifically. I was doing more of what I was studying in college, handling game day operations, guest management, and guest services.
Post-college, I went to sell advertising for a business publication in Pittsburgh. I sold print and digital advertising to various thought leaders in different industries across the city.
From there, I moved to Denver, Colorado, to work for a startup called Sports Thread, and that's where I am now. I started out selling advertising packages, but more on the digital side, obviously mostly for sports brands. Given that it was a startup, I moved fairly quickly up the ladder, and now I am mostly in charge of the entire advertising network.
