What are your main responsibilities within your role?
So, a lot of my role involves going to market and meeting with different clients and prospects. This includes meeting with centers of influence, who are referral sources, to bring in more business.
The stronger the relationships you build, the more likely you are to bring new relationships to the bank, whether for a deposit or lending relationship. My day-to-day varies.
It can involve reviewing loan packages to see what we can do for a client's loan request, assessing its realism, and determining our terms. This includes sizing the loan and doing a quick underwriting to see what that looks like for them.
I also attend networking events and meet new people to gain exposure. I ensure that all existing clients in my portfolio, and any new ones, are taken care of and their needs are met.
As the main point of contact, they call me directly for anything they need. Whether I handle it myself or my team does depends on the request.
It kind of varies week to week. Sometimes I'm in the office more, sometimes less. It depends on client needs, events I'm attending, and any prospects I'm meeting at their offices.
