What are your main responsibilities within your current role?
As an account executive, my main responsibility is to be a moderator between our internal team and our clients. This means coordinating communications through emails and documents. Most importantly, I try to maintain a strong social and emotional presence and understanding of our current situations.
This involves understanding whatever campaigns we have going on with our creatives. They are industry professionals with great ideas, and our clients are marketers with products they want to get out in the world.
You might think it's easy to just see those ideas in the world, but it's not. Sometimes there are legal provisions or cultural trends we need to consider. As an account executive, I have conversations with these different partners to ensure everyone is on the same page.
At the same time, we need to do our due diligence, going through legal and business affairs. This also includes logistical planning, especially if a campaign requires a production shoot.
It's very exciting, and things change all the time. I need to have patience and understanding and communicate these changes. While people might be frustrated by last-minute pivots, my job is to remain calm and keep the team calm, all while meeting our client's objectives.
